Hi all. Our new work van is a 23 reg Transit Connect 250MSRT EBLU A.

It came with the foam puncture rescue kit which from past experience is hopeless. Is it possible to get a space saver wheel and the tools needed i.e. jack etc?  If so, how on earth do I find the right size wheel and tyre. Our local Ford dealer is very unhelpful.

    I'm not saying it isn't possible, but would a space saver wheel be able to safely carry a fully loaded Transit van ?

    The side wall load on the tyres of a Transit is quite high (Just ask Ford what happens when you fit standard Mondeo tyres like they did back in 2013). Given that space saver tyres usually have a smaller diameter wheel than the standard fitted and they compensate the reduced wheel by increasing the height of the side wall of the tyre this may be the reason that your new Transit didn't come with one.
