2010 Mondeo immobilizer fault, no start

Featured Replies

Right. Hello.

I’m from Sweden so bare with me when it comes to slightly languageissues.

Anywho, I am a mechanic since, well, 19th centuary according to my much younger exwife. I might add military mechanic so that you will understand how little I know about anything newer than the 70i’s.

I picked up a cheap nice looking 2010 Mondeo With all the bells n whistles that had immo fault and nothing happens when pushing start. Key-less ofcourse.
The old man I bought it from said locka Ford didn’t even want to touch it despite that he bought it new there.

I thought it would be a nice car to drive to work in and I foolishly thought I could fix it.

Apparently not.

I got myself Forscan and the correct cable and Oh my Odin did it have codes stored!

I do believe the main culprit seems to be lost communication With ABS module A because it comes up inavpit 5-6 different codes.

Now is there anyway I can test it or check for ground/positive cables that isn’t working as they should?
I have checked main cableharness going from comp left side front wheel and all cables looks ok.

Mainground from battery fixed and also the 4-5 coming from the loom.

Shall I write down all the codes for you?

Hello Thomas. I suggest you ask this question in the Mondeo section of the forum. You will get more responses.

When you do that please do write down the codes which Forscan brought up. Better still take photos from the screen of your laptop showing each fault code when you have your car connected to Forscan.

Hello Thomas,

here is the link to the Mondeo forum: https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/forum/13-ford-mondeo-vignale-club/

What engine does the car have?

Is it automatic or manual gearbox?
