Ok, awhile ago I put Ford metal dust covers on my tyres in place of the usual plastic ones, I went away with work and the good lady hasn't put air in the tyres, or checked them, in nearly four months. I go to check them and they are stuck solid on. Any ideas how to get them off? I've tried WD40, a wrench, brute force and prayer but nothing is shifting them. Please stop laughing at the back..... :) 

A mate of mine had this issue...  Ended up needing to replace the valves as they were seized solid!

Cut the ends, gently with a hacksaw blade, until you can see the valves.

Spray in some penetrating oil, not WD40 and leave for a couple of hours.

Hold the valve body with some pliers and undo caps with another set of pliers.

My brother had put on a set of "theft-proof" valve caps from Halfrauds, they turned out to be "blow-you-tyre-up-proof"

I had to cut them off with a dremel

Had exactly the same problem last year. I got mine off with just a junior hacksaw blade and gently and CAREFULLY cut through the metal dust caps. You have to cut at a slight diagonal angle from the top of the cap, towards the valve stem. Once the cut is about 90% deep and just starting to cut in to the brass threads of the valve 'Stop'

Then place a small flat blade screwdriver in the slot you've just cut and twist it. The metal cap will snap along the cut and you can then twist the blade a bit more to open the slot up. The cap will then unscrew !!!!

The moral of the story is we should not put fancy Chinese crap on the valves in the first place 🤣
