TomsFocus Posted September 18, 2023 Share Posted September 18, 2023 Did you buy the car from a trader? Doesn't sound like it's worth fixing so used engine is probably the most cost effective option. Can be had for around £600 on eBay. Would probably recommend belt change before fitting. And probably a clutch while it's out as well. Should bring the bill down to around £1200. My brother has a smax aswell he's taken off road as didn't want to spend anymore money on it so I've swapped with him.
