"Patient information leaflets"

Featured Replies

I hate the fact that whenever you open a new box of any kind of tablets you always seem to choose the end where that pointless piece of paper that few people ever read is in the way. Also this gets in the way after you've taken a tablet and want to put the remaining pills back into the box by unhelpfully mushing up in the box.

Unfortunately I'm on a lot of medication and it annoys me too. Usually, but not always, if I hold the box in front of me with the front facing me if I open the left side the patient information leaflet is folded round the tablets on the right and I can just pull a sheet of tablets straight out.

Yes those bits of paper are a pain in the bum. I personally just get the info sheet out and put it straight into the recycling bin. No problems after that getting any tablets out.

I had a patient information leaflet given to me by boots pharmacy after my flu jab. A4 sheet with such small writing, even with my reading glasses I couldnt make out the words they were that small. The pharmacist said good luck reading that.

It isn't necessarily a good idea to bin the leaflet without reading it although I know most of it is just the manufacturer covering their back. I was recently prescribed a spray for an ear infection and when I read the leaflet it said this should not be used in the ears :shocking:.

I phoned the GP and was prescribed the same medication but as drops which the leaflet stated was suitable for use in the ear. Comparing the ingredient lists the drops had one ingredient removed.
