Going on mountainous winding roads my engine turned off several times while driving and I got the "P0219 Engine Overspeed Condition" error code.

What does "P0219 Engine Overspeed Condition" indicate and why does the car engine stop while driving because of this error?

Is the care programmed to turn off the engine when this error code appears as a means of protection? What about driver safety, as it's really dangerous to remain without power steering all of a sudden while speeding on mountainous winding roads, and I had to quickly brake and restart the engine to regain control and avoid crashing?

    Has it been remapped?

    The remap file may have turned off the rev limiter

    My automatic mk4 ,2010,2.0 euro5 has the same simptoms. If i got downhill and ler îți free( not pressing brake pedal or acceleration) ,IT stops and this error comes by
