Any help with heater issues?

Featured Replies

My 2006 focus ST’s heater will only blow cold air. I managed to get it blowing quite hot yesterday after fiddling with it but it has stopped working again. The temp gauge on the dash is going up as normal and settling on about half way and the coolant level looks ok, a bit above the minimum mark. Does anyone have any ideas on an easy fix or do i need to take it to a mechanic?

The cable has probably come off the back of the panel.  Next step would be removing the dash fascia and the heater control panel to check the cable.

If you use the search here on the forum for "Heater Cable"  https://www.fordownersclub.com/search/?q="heater cable"&quick=1&updated_after=any&sortby=relevancy  you will get about 14 results. I'm sure some of them will give you some tips on how to fix the issue.

An example of one of the threads:

if its not a cable, try looking at the thermistor or whatever its called
