Interior lighting, radio etc not working

Featured Replies

Hi, randomly last night pulling up at home, all my interior lighting went off. Radio, speedos etc.

Indicators are still working when using switch on outside, but not showing they are on the inside.

Wipers too.

Heaters aren't working. Radio not working, Hazard light button is working, lights are flashing but again nothing on inside.

My lights were on when this happened so now my lights are stuck on, cannot turn them off as switch is dead.

Speedo is stuck in the position it was in- so saying temperature is at 90, revs are at 750rpm (idle), even when the car is off and keys are out its stuck in that position.

Wont let me upload photo as saying file is too big.

My question is has anyone ever had this problem before? If so what do I need to look at.

Thanks

Disconnect the car battery negative lead for 20 minutes.

Sounds like the BCM has had a bit of a fit !!

Hi thanks for the reply, I've had the battery disconnected, speedo doesn't even move stuck in a position.

Doesn't seem to do anything

Think you are going to need to read the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's). Have you got FORScan and a vLinker cable ?

Is the car locking and unlocking as normal ?

There's no faults at all coming up, had it plugged in. Car is unlocking and locking yes

Under the bonnet check the fuesbox.

Test that fuse F23 (5 Amp) is good, and has not blown.

If you do not have the means to test the fuse, then you can swap F23 with F39 just for test purposes. If things change and the instrument cluster works then you need some new 5 Amp fuses.

Tried fuses, hasn't changed anything at all

This is the speedos stuck in this position

Car still starts and drives absolutely fine.

AUTO stop/start buttons working next to gearstick, and Hazard light button, anything else no power what so ever
