Mk7.5 Parking Sensors Issue

Featured Replies

Randomly today my parking sensors (both front and rear) have stopped working - they were fine last night! When selecting reverse (or pushing the parking sensor button) it makes a warning noise I haven’t heard before, and a little red exclamation mark appears on the screen. The reversing camera comes on as normal. I have *tried* to upload a video to YouTube for reference, fingers crossed it works with this link...

Has anyone experienced this before? Is it something I could attempt to fix myself? Just thought I’d check with all you wise owls before I head off to the garage🤑🙄

Many thanks!😀

Possibly a sensor has failed ????

Or wiring broke/ corroded

Hi both - thanks! Really useful. It does seem very strange that it came completely out of the blue and is both the front AND rear sensors🤷‍♂️ I checked with Ford and parking sensors are covered by the extended warranty so I will give them a ring and make sure they honour that! I don’t think it’s something that I can attempt to fix myself😐

So, really randomly both front and back started working (and then quickly stopped again) - so I’m thinking perhaps there’s some loose wiring? Wondering what I should look for/where I should fiddle? Haha
