Full LED headlights.

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

New to the Ford game and just got myself a very low mileage 2018 B&O Play Titanium. Anyhow. The front lights where orange. Changed for some Phillips bulbs and are better but miss having LED's. Now bulb changes are frowned on in MOT's I was looking at getting the official Ford LED headlights. But driver's side is not compatible? Is this down to other things needed to be added to the car in the factory? I know they are an option on some cars when buying new. They are self leveling as well so I presume that has something to do with it also. Anybody know the definitive reason why they can be fitted, please let me know. Thanks.

LED light clusters can't just be swapped onto halogen cars as the body control module is programmed for the voltage of halogens.

From 2020, the halogen bulbs in projector units were replaced with LED bulbs.  They're fixed with no auto-levelling.  Unless your MOT tester is a Fiesta fan, and as long as they're not ridiculously bright white, I reckon you'd get away with LED bulb's in your projector units for dipped beam only.

Cheers. I thought that might be the case. More of a factory fit than a retro fit. I will have a chat to my MOT guy (used the same guy for years). They is a fair few kits out there. The back light clusters are really bright. But the front (apart from the LED ring) is meh. Even with the projector on low beam side. I have changed all for Phillips White Vision. I suppose I could try Osram Cool intense blue. Have a issue with the auto gearbox (under a warranty so all cool). But apart from that I really impressed with the little Fiesta. Why the hell they have stopped making them is beyond belief.
