Hi, so trying to remove the pinch bolt from the lower ball joint... Unlike others on the net the bolt itself is a hex socket head, not a normal bolt. I cannot hammer the ***** thing out at all! Tried jacking the suspension up a bit with no luck... Just thought maybe it's being pinch fast so might try to tighten the nut again... The last blow distored the nut and to add insult to injury the hex bit ultimately spins in ***** bolt. My thinking here is if I could get it spinning it might loosen things up!

Hoping the motor factors might have standard pinch bolts I can replace with!

Any tips would be welcomed!

use a bit of heat and wack it out 😊

Got it out cheers. ***** melted a hole in the gater like a knob head 😂 I'll slap a split one on I think...

I think it's lots of heat and just hitting the ***** out of it, along with propping up with a jack, and hitting some more!

My Octavia is a breeze compared and a year older!
