head lights

Featured Replies

Hi,

i have a 2016 titanium mondeo 2.0tdi. my head lighst seem very dull i have tried changing the bulbs to ultra bright but they still seem very dull and they dont light up the road very well. the lens that covers the dipped beam on the inside of the headlight unit seems to be quite foggy/cloudy is this normal?, if not how do i solve the problem without buying new head light units? the main headlight unit cover is crystal clear. thanks

If you get a chance, you should post a photo so that we can see what you're seeing. However, if the lens is deteriorating on the inside, likely a replacement is the only solution. Check out Ebay or the like to see cost of replacement. Advantage of having an older car is that they're not as expensive as you may think...

Hi Stephen. thanks for the reply. I have checked out ebay prices for new headlight units but they are really expensive cheapest i can find is over £400 for a 2016 mondeo. I have attached a picture below of the dipped beam on. should that lens in front of the bulb be clear so you can see the bulb or how i would describe it as foggy?, I put new brighter bulbs in it at the weekend. they made a little difference but not much.

many thanks

That does seem expensive, on the most cursory of glances, I can see one at £85?
