Engine code explained.

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buying some service items, in particular when I was looking at spark plugs the reference was saying  SUITABLE FOR ENGINE CODES: B7JA / B7JB / B7JC / BZJA / M0JA ,   ; 1.0 ECOBOOST PETROL MODELS (WITH ENGINE CODES: M1JL / M1JM / Q0JA / Q0JB / Q0JC / Q0JD / SFJE / SFJF / SFJH / SFJJ / SFJK / SFJN / SFJP / YYJE) *** Could someone  explain how my engine code is made up. I have enclosed a photo of the plates on my car.

Your code is M0JB.

Thanks Tom, I'm still struggling to find a site that recognises my car ( engine code ) I'm after genuine Ford parts , when I choose for eg sparkplugs it says not compatible with your car or I cannot find mine in the list given of codes. I have been  using this site https://shop.ford.co.uk/collections/spark-plugs. Is there any other sites you would recommend. I realise it's my user error that's causing the bother but I cannot see where I'm going wrong. Should I just go by my registration number and that will be sufficient.

Far better to just call into a Ford dealership, than rely on their internet based parts depts.
