Smoke from exhaust until engine warms up to temperature

Featured Replies

Hi

Iv had a problem with my ford fiesta zetec s mk7 diesel for a while with white smoke emitting from the exhaust on cold mornings which seems really excessive for it to just be from cold start i took it to a garage January/feb and was told it was a faulty turbo so i had the turbo changed and the smoke would stop as the oil that is left in my exhaust would burn off as the weather got warmer the smoke disappeared and all was good now the cold weather is coming the problem has returned but it goes once the car reaches working temperature and have no clue what to do the car runs fine and is showing no engine management lights

no oil level change or mayo and no coolant level change I have been checking both every week

any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Glow plugs are knackered.

Sure its smoke, not steam from condensation in the exhaust?

I have to agree with Tom on this. Your glow plugs are not working or at least not as they should.

Reminds me of the days before glow plugs (1960s)
