Hi I have a 2019 Ford fiesta st line x and I’ve noticed that when the car is warm and idling there is a chirping noise which seems to be coming from somewhere under the centre console . The noise goes away if I put a few revs on . Any help would be much appreciated. Tia .

try putting a little pressure on the centre console when you hear the chirping if it go's away then there is prob something rubbing when the rev's are just right and adding more rev's is putting it into a better "vibration" state and stopping it. i had something like it in one of my old fiesta's never did find out what it was but removing the centre console and putting it back again seemed to sort it.

I have this issue on my car where i can hear a chirping sound. This only happnes at idle. The noise can be heard inside the cabin around the footwell.

If i support the top engine mount ( driver side - nearest to coolant bottle ) with a crow bar and reduce the engine from shaking the noise stops.

My theory is the engine mount is worn hence excessive engine vibration is causing the gear selector cables to rub as per link attached below which is a secondary cause. I am planning on changing the top engine mount first as i can feel cabin vibration anyway and then if the chirping continues will look to where the gear selector cables are rubbing.
