warning light on

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have a 2007 1.6 petrol focus and today the engine check light came on.

The car seems to be driving fine and starts ok.

Car has done 64000 miles or 103000 klm.

Have checked the fuel cap and that seems to be ok and not loose.

Just wondering if there are any common faults on the focus that anyone knows off that will bring this light on before I take it to a garage and get ripped off by garages here in spain by mechanics that dont know what they are doing.

cheers all and safe motoring.

Could be anything, needs the codes reading, are you able to borrow or buy a code reader? There are cheap ones available.

would you beleive it light came on this morning and on all day. came home from work left the car parked outside my house for about 2 to 3 hours then went out to car started the car and light went straight out. So I am thinking maybe its a bad connection somewhere or maybe a dodgy sensor, because its obviously intermitant I am thinking its electrical problem.
