Burn Marks On The Fez

Featured Replies

I decided to change the numberplate bulbs for some whiter L.E.D ones, I noticed when removing them that the burn holders have got burn marks on them! :o

I've took some pics to send to Ford to ask them whats going on, don't know if its normal like has anybody seen this sort of thing before?

no need to worry,it is normal, looked the same on my mk7 fezzi and my passat :) it is because the regular bulbs dont have any sort of "shield" so they heat the bulb holders a lot, whereas the SMD led bulbs have that plastic part that goes in the bulb holder so it doesnt heat as much as the regular bulbs
