Do I Have DPF

Featured Replies

I’ve heard that some 2010 1.6TDCi have DPF and some do not.
Can I tell from reg number if ours has one? I’m not familiar with these cars and DPFs can just look like a centre box.

Im looking to remap the car so obviously if it has a DPF I want it removing before the remap.

It depends on power output for that year:

90PS no

95PS yes

Check your V5 or the B pillar sticker if you're not sure.

Also if you plan to use it on the road, DPF removal is an MOT failure.

Not sure what to look for on the sticker. Cant see a horsepower rating

Do you have this bit? I can't remember when Ford started putting in on the B pillar.

Otherwise your V5 will always have the power output, even if it's in kW.

No the sticker looks nothing like that. I’ll go dig out v5

V5 says 70KW? So guess that’s 95PS, therefore I’ve got the dreaded DPF?

What's dreaded about it?  It's a coated DPF.  Will be absolutely fine with a stage 1 map.
