Drivers seat belt alarm and warning dash light

Featured Replies

I have a Fiesta St Line 1.0 5dr 2021 with 11,300 mlS.

Got in the car this morning after not driving it for 5 days. After a few minutes the driver seat belt light and alarm came on. I have looked at the wires under the seat and all looks well.

I've disabled the alarm via this method: car on Ignition and pushing selt belt into place 9 times

The dash display recognises I'm sat in the seat.

Is there a fix or is it a parts change? All help is appreciated

Thank you

That's a bit of an odd one.

If it was the seatbelt switch that was faulty, then you would not have been able to use the method of plugging the seatbelt buckle in 9 times.

Is the car now out of warranty ? If it is a 2021 model there should be at least a few weeks left.

Thank you for your post

Warranty until 30th March 2024, and I would think this is covered. It's getting it into a dealer as I'm busy working during the week

Ring up and make an appointment now to report the fault. Even if it's the end of January before it gets looked at at least they have the fault and date on record.

Thank you

At least I disabled the annoying alarm
