Stuck Heater Termperature Dial

Featured Replies

Hi all,

The temperature dial on my '04 Fiesta TDCi has stopped going higher than about the midway point between hot and cold. It's as if something has got jammed somewhere, maybe in the heater matrix.I have read about replacing the heater control valve, but that problem seems to manifest itself as a lack of hot air whatever the dial is on. Whereas my dial only goes from maximum cold to halfway. I took off the fascia and couldn't see anything wrong at that end, nor the bit in the driver's footwell where the cable disappears off into the engine bay. Nothing appears broken or stuck there. Not sure where to look under the bonnet though.

Any advice would be great.

Kind Regards
