2005 2.0 liter st into 2008 titanium engine swap

Featured Replies

How feasible is it to swap a 2005 2.0 litre st engine into a 2008 1.4 titanium (both petrol)

Titanium must be Mk7?

So not easily doable as the 2.0 was never fitted to those.

Yep I didn’t think it would be a straight switch but probably easier than something out of a mondeo or new focus

Not necessarily.  The 1.6 EcoBoost was fitted to the Mk4 Mondeo, Mk7 Fiesta and Mk3 Focus for example.

What's the purpose of the switch?  If you're just going for more power then I'd be dropping a 1.6 EcoBoost in.  Extra 30bhp compared to the 2.0 plus all the fun of a turbo...

The ST150 was alright in it's day, but it's very dated now.

That 1.6 is a good shout looking at the specks it’s more efficient on fuel as well much easier transfer too, thanks
