Hi all,

Reaching out in the hope somebody can help. My 2018 Focus 1.0L Ecoboost engine is knackered due to an oil pressure problem. The garage I use told me it needs a new engine and to take it to Ford. They told me Ford would probably charge around 7k to sort. Has anybody had any experience with this or have any other solutions? Maybe a reconditioned engine or something, but as I am not mechanically minded I'm not sure what to look for or where to look. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Is it a Mk3 or Mk4?

    If it's a MK3, I assume the wet belt has deteriorated and blocked the oil channels.

    Lots on here if you search wet belt.
