Tdci fuel pressure spike

Featured Replies

Morning all

I have a post about this in the galaxy forum. One in 5 starts (especially when not very cold air temp) results in a cough or splutter before firing.

2018 PSA 2.0 duratorq. Fresh filter and battery. Problem persists.

I noticed a pressure spike over 40kPa before revs got to the magic 800 range. Likey the cause.

Any advice on what could cause it ? Pressure regulator? I don't know where that is on this engine and how to test it in isolation.

Thanks so much

Hi all

Anyone know where the fuel pump is in my bus ? 2.0 duratorq

The fuel lines disappear into a labyrinth and I haven't had time to disassemble.

Pic would be great. I want to swap out the fpr

Thank you !

If it's still the old 2.0 lump then I think the HP pump is fitted above the gearbox, driven directly from the rear camshaft.
