MK8 one touch window problem

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have a problem with offside rear window in our 71 reg Vignale. About every 2 or 3 weeks, the offside rear window loses its one touch up function. I reset, and all is good again, but couple of weeks later its gone again. All the other windows are fine except this one. I've even used forscan to reset it.

It has the later 2 wire window motors, rather than the earlier 6 wire ones, so I'm assuming the (voltage) sensing is done in the door module rather than the motor module.

Yes it's under warranty, but I absolutely hate letting dealer mechanics loose on my cars. Just don't trust them. And I'm sure it's not a loose wire. Battery was changed couple of months ago

Anyone had similar experience?

Thanks
