What is it, and how do you expect it to operate?

Aahhh, you should have said, I have a schematic for that. You need to tap it into the starter relay...

I can try to help you out but you will have to give us an idea as to what it is, where it goes & what it is meant to do?

Great points, wish I'd have thought about them LOL

That will never work... The "Wangle pin" is knackered & the "FooFoo" Valve is worn out

Roof marker lights, did they not come with instructions? If not Contact who you bought them from.

You could try asking this seller, just act dumb and say you're seeking advice before you buy...

Will it be ok to just connect to the side lights or will it affect the wiring if it’s cambus.

I can confirm that the parking lights (formally known as sidelights) are indeed controlled by the Body Control Module. The current drawn is monitored and if it exceeds a preset limit, the BCM will disable the circuit until the perceived fault is corrected.

The total extra current drawn by the roof bar lights might (if your lucky) not exceed the BCM current management limits and you could wire it direct to the parking light circuit. Alternatively wire a small relay on to the parking light circuit, and connect the relay contacts from an un-monitored  supply via an inline 3 Amp fuse, for example the cigar lighter socket.
