Wrong message from system when Stop/Start not functioning?

Featured Replies

Hopefully I'm not starting yet another Stop/Start thread, its more a question to help my understanding.

So OK, just after Christmas Stop/Start er stopped! Has been non-working during the recent cold(er) spell when its been belkow 5 deg most days.

Now the message on the display screen says ".... due to vehicle charging"

However, the battery voltage is 12.47 volts (left the bonnet up for a while until all the sidelights etc. went out!) and according to the chart this is about 85% charged, so all should be OK.

Is it possible that the system is giving the wrong message i.e. should it say "... due to low temperature" or somesuch? (NB I look at this on my return home, when the heated window/windscreen/lights etc have all been switched off)

System still won't work even after a 40 mile round trip!
