New TPMS sensors fitted Focus 2015

Featured Replies

Hi people

Please can anyone advise, I had a warning light that the TPMS sensors were not connecting, so being as my Ford is 9 years old, I bought 4 new sensors and fitted them today, but following a youtube video of how to train them using the brake and on/off 3 times etc. the car displayed "Train front left tyre" I deflated the tyre but did not hear a beep, question am I missing something or is there another way of doing it?

I do have ForScan but not sure if that would be the correct tool for training the new TPMS sensors.

Thanks guys

Which sensors did you get? (got a link?)

Last year I got my wheels refurbished so I bought some new sensors to fit at the same time,
I got sent the wrong ones and they didn't communicate with the car, so I just turned the TPMS Warning off with ForScan,
Hoped my local garage might have a proper tool to read and program them later, but no.
I'll look at another set when I get a full set of tyres in a couple of years.

I think if you had a tool to read them, you can input the codes manually in ForScan, then do the relearn procedure again.

They really are a pain in the A.

Hi, The sensors are direct from Fords, so I would hope they are the correct ones lol

They still have to be pretty specific to year and model I think.

Did you try one of these? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07WDFJKMB

I bought one, but because the new sensors weren't coded as Ford it didn't work for me.
Sensors are in a sleep mode until they are driven or 'activated' by something like this.

I replaced all four TPMS sensors. I phoned my local Ford dealer and asked about them. They asked for my cars reg number and came back to me they'll get some in. Next day I gets a call and go get them. Get them fitted at a local tyre place. Gets home and do that pump brake 3 times thing but I needn't have bothered because once I pumped back up to recommended pressure and told the car that there hasn't been an issue. All is well.

Maybe the sensors are model specific.
