No power to drivers side power window switches & mirror swit

Featured Replies

Hello, new member here.

I have a 2016 1.0 ecoboost red edition. The power to the drivers side power window switch alongside the electric mirror adjusters is gone. Music still plays from the door speaker and no issues with central locking system on the door. The icons on the switches do not illuminate at all, complete silence when pressed so I know the fault is electrical.

The passenger window (nearside) switch works fine and the icon illuminates as normal.

I've checked countless fuse diagrams but in my car all of the "power window" fuses and "electric mirror" fuses are missing from the fuse box. I know them being missing isn't the issue as they worked fine before...

Any ideas?

Picture of glove box fuse box with supposed fuse locations attached so you can see which fuse box I have...

A bit stumped!

Hi,

All of the fuses you've circled show as 'Not Used' in the manual.  (25, 31, 16)  Is it possible you have the wrong manual?

Those were ones the manuals I could find suggested power windows, but as you said they are not used... Same issue with the list you've shared here, seems to be no Fuse for the power windows/mirror adjusters?

Was hoping to skip needing to pull every Fuse but looks like I'll have to do it the old fashioned way!

They're not necessarily fused separately in modern cars.  Will probably be protected by the BCM and/or the door modules.  The fuses for those are in the engine bay fusebox. (Diagram below).  However, as you say other parts still work on the door, it looks much more like a faulty switch pack or a damaged wire in the door loom than a blown fuse.

Thanks, was hoping it wasn't going to involve the wiring but if so I'll get onto troubleshooting with that.

Appreciate the advice! 🙂

Is this a 3 door model or a 5 door ?

If it's a 5 door model I would think the problem is with the DDM

Use FORScan with a vLinker FS cable and it will very probably tell you what the problem is.
