Deciding to keep hold of this car longer than I imagined and both rear door speakers have failed.

 

Can anyone suggest a reasonable not expensive speaker upgrade / replacement?

    Pioneer are very good and do direct replacements for all Fords

    For budget rears pioneer tsg1720f are pretty good. You may want to switch out your fronts though at some point, as you may notice a difference in balance from front to rear after changing speakers, unless you can bring the balance further forward in your head unit.
