Installation of photochromic rear views mirror

Hi, I would like to change the manual mirror to a photochromic one on my 2018 fiesta-ST-Line the mirror has 3 wires, Black, Red and White.

I was thinking of picking up permanent live and earth from the interior light, can anyone confirm which wire is live/earth.

I thought Black was Earth, Red was permanent live? But am unsure where to connect the white wire?

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Third wire used to be connected to the reverse switch so the mirror un-dims when reversing.

    I'm not sure where it'll go on modern cars.  Possibly the BCM.

    Many thanks Tom, at last I know what the White wire was originally connected to, gives me a fighting chance now to wire all three cables to the respective points -oh yes of course with or without a multimeter ☺️👍
