14 Ford Fiesta Key Not Detected After Changing Speedometer

Hi All,

My 2014 Fiesta speedometer dials stopped working, therefore I replaced with a new one. The car starts fine with the original speedometer but refuses to start once the new one is in place. The dash lights up fine although it is reading that the key is not detected.

Does the new speedometer require programming to the car, or is it a separate fault. I've tried the 6 second 4 turn method with the key to no avail.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    The immobiliser works through the clocks on these.  You would need to have any replacement cluster coded to the car.

    look at using FoRscan to recode, fit your original cluster back, save all data then install new and write the data, should be good to go, may need to recode keys if chipped.

    Unfortunately FORScan no longer supports reprogramming of the PATS for vehicles 2013 onwards.
