"Easymanuals" - Any experience?

Featured Replies

Having had a bad expereince with Haynes, I've cme across Easymanuals.co.uk

Has anyome bought a manual from them, and was it any good?

Was the manual vehicle-specific (Unlike Haynes which these days are full of general information, not the car-specific stuff).

Thanks - Richard

I've not used them but they look quite decent. Have you read the spec on what it covers for your exact model, for example does it cover your gearbox?

I'd be very interested to know what they are like if you get one.

I have bought many Haynes manuals (paper ones) over the years, but never used their online site. I've not heard of Easymanuals, so can't comment. Do you have to pay to use them or is it free?

This site might be useful for workshop manuals. https://cardiagn.com  A few years ago you could easily download them in pdf form, but I have a feeling you can't anymore, only read them from the site.

Thanks Jim - unfortuantley they don't cover my version of the car. Have to be aware, as ever, of the adverts that lin you to something chargeable!

Easymanuals are chargeable, options of download or USB stick/DVD.

"Ford_Focus_MK4_1.5L_EcoBlue_Duratorq_6_Speed_B6_Plus_Manual_Workshop_2018-2021-1.pdf"£14.99 as a  PDF download, 29.99 on a USB stick so its worth paying the download price just to have a look. I'm finding my Acrobat Reader DC does not pick things up on the search! Headings for the engine and manual transmission sections are just labelled "Subsection 1,2,3" etc. so difficult to navigate as a result, and they are the biggest sections!

i downloaded a manual from easymanuals for a vw lt. after them confirming that the manual actually did cover my engine, which haynes dont, i paid the £14.99 and downloaded it. a packet of cigs would have been more use to me!

the information in the manual is a bit sparse and unfortunately it didn't cover my engine. i won't be getting another easymanual and neither wil i be buying another vw!

Bought Opel Insignia service manual from them. Shop item claimed to have all the petrol engines covered.
Turned out not to be true. It covered some 2.0 litre engines but required 1.6T was missing.
Asked my money back but they told I have already downloaded the item and got no refund.

Also asked PayPal to get a refund but they said that a service manual is a service manual and that's that. No refund.

A lesson learned for 20€.
