Clutch pedal sticks half way up

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise on a fault that has developed on my Focus 2015, last week while driving I pressed the clutch pedal down and it only came half way up, the clutch still sort of worked but wasn't fully disengaging the clutch, I then hooked my foot under the pedal and pulled it up and the clutch was fine for a few days, then it did the same again, question is does this typically mean the master cylinder is on it's way out or the clutch itself,

Thanks 🙂

It could be a few things, but a failing clutch master cylinder or a failing clutch slave cylinder would give similar symptoms. Have you checked the fluid reservoir has the correct level ?

A replacement clutch master cylinder is the easiest and cheapest to replace, so best hope that is the problem.
