Drivers side driveshaft

Featured Replies

Hi I have a focus mk2 2008 estate diesal. I'm doing the driveshafts on both sides. Does the drivers side have a circlip or is it pressure sealed.. The old and new doesn't have 1 however the passenger side does. Just a little confused.

Hi Justin and welcome to the forum. I suggest you ask your question in the Focus section of the forum. Your more likely to get a reply.

Is there a slot for a circlip on the drivers side shaft?  The inner section of the long shaft should be held in place by the intermediate bearing retainer, though I'm not 100% sure whether there's a circlip in the diff as well.

I do know the shafts are different for 2.0 TDCI compared to 1.6/1.8 TDCI as they use different gearboxes.
