Customer Relations - Is Ford bad or are all OEMs the same?

Featured Replies

I had the PAS bolts changed by Guildford Ford Dealer on my 2015 Mondeo in November and that broke the steering rack which they said they would replace under warranty.  That was 13 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for it to be fixed.  Ford Customer services are rubbish at providing any support/updates/reason for delay,  I just get a copy and paste "..we don't know when we will have parts..we will let you know.."  The dealer is no better and they just play one off against the other.  Someone at Ford purchasing knows exactly how long this will take but nobody wants to commit to any dates for a new part.

Is this normal service from Ford?

Sounds pretty normal for any big company tbh.

They get so big they become unable to communicate effectively.

A lot of parts seem to be on back order and nobody seem to no whats going on normal

Many of the electrical and electronic European Ford parts are made in the Ukraine, and they seem to have other things on their mind at the moment 🤔
