CDL not working 2012 focus estate titanium.

Featured Replies

Posted before about this issue but getting nowhere. Also some things recommended didn't seem to fit this car and also can not find a tutorial about programming this key fob anywhere so I've added pictures.

CDL won't work, all batteries replaced, connections checked, car battery removed and fully charged, fuses checked.

You need to put the key in the slot by the steering wheel and press the start button to start the car. Sometimes when the car is running and you open a door, it comes up saying key not found. Wondering if this is linked?

Any links or info would be great as I'm struggling to find much. Thanks all.

Just to add it did lock and open once, when I first changed the batteries. Then back to how it was.

Have you tried another make of fob battery ?

Basically it's battery's, Failed fobs, or body control module fault. So eliminate the battery with another make. Unlikely 2 fobs failed at same time so your left with the body control module . Possible water ingress/ corrosion of connectors.

Yeah after trying new batteries swapped them but for duracell.

I should be able to test the fob frequency tomorrow check they definitely are working.

Wheres that located to check the connections? Cheers for your help mate.

Passengers footwell is where the bcm is. (Fancy fusebox) has been known to get water running through the wiring from under bonnet in and in to the module causing all sorts of issues.
