13 TDCI Mondeo No Start after driving with uncoded injector

Featured Replies

Hi All Sorry to be bothering you but I’m at a loose end with a 2013 Ford Mondeo MK4 2.0TDCI (HDI) engine. The car had four new injectors fitted recently by a so called garage that didn’t do a good job. I investigated the car after it arrived on a recovery truck to discover that the injector clamp holding down number two injector was snapped in half. I then proceeded to fit a new clamp and washer seal at the bottom and eventually after much cranking and boosting the car eventually fired up running lumpy with blue like smoke out the exhaust. It eventually started to idle a bit better and then I began a test drive to see how it went and the smoke cleared and all seemed fine. Only 13km later the car began to rev real hard and smoke out the exhaust returned and car cut out in the middle of the road. I then proceeded to check the coding on my scan tool only to discover that the coding was all wrong and I re coded it immediately. Now the car will not start but it will crank no problem however with all the cranking now the battery is dead. I’m only hoping I have not done any harm to the engine and what is my next step I need to take. Any help great fully appreciate it so much. Thanks
Brendan
