Ford smax - noise when I press the start button

twice today when I started my engine, it made a new sound which on each occasion enen drew a remark from my 12 and & 15 year old.  The best way I can describe it is that when I press the clutch and then the start button and the engine starts, there's a new sound at the end of the starting motion that I would say sounds like a dynamo (my kids used to have little dynamo torches and the sound that comes from releasing the the dynamo is what I can hear.....

 

Does anyone have any thoughts?

 

Since buying the car January 23 when it came with a full service history and the dealer selling it said they did all the checks post auction (it's 11 years old & cost 11k) I have replaced the oil and air filter and clutch.  I do about 5000m pa 

 

Took out a warranty  but so far nothings been covered in the Warranty

Sounds like the starter isn't disengaging immediately.  Will probably need a new starter motor eventually.
