Ford Fiesta Mark 1 Popular Looking For Good Home

Featured Replies

Hey there all,

This is going to be a very weird topic, but hopefully someone will be able to help me out. Recently my mother died and she had kept my father's car, who died 20 years ago. He brought his car just after they moved in their property and kept it in good working order, mostly only using it to go to town for shopping and such. Really this car has never been run in and has only got about 30,000 miles on it. So the engine is in very good working order, from what I know of, as my son had it for a while to learn to drive in and drove it for a couple of years after he passed his test. Before he started driving it, it did sit for many years (10 or 12 years), but was moved back and forth on the drive so the brakes and all moving parts didn't ceise up. After my son changed for another car, the car was then stored into a garage and has been there for about 8 - 10 years.

Now as far as I know, there is some bodywork needed, such as rust spots and on the edges of panels. There has been some body repair on it, such as on the bonnet and certain places. The interior is still immaculate and in very good condition. Apart from natural aging of the bodywork, the car is in good condition. The colour is Beige (white).

But now after my mother passing, the car needs a good home as my son will no longer be able to keep it in storage. I've left the decision up to my son, as to what he wants to do with it, as he was planning on saving some money up and doing up the car at some point in the future. But with his education and such, he's not able to do that and he can't keep it. So as he does not want to see it get scrapped, as it's still a good little car, we were going to find someone who would want it, (for no charge or nothing, the only thing would be transporting it), for a pet project to do it up.

For anyone who is interested, please email myself ([email protected]) or email my daughter ([email protected]).

I know some people will be like this is the wrong place for it, but as a new member I cannot post in the sale forum.

Thanks for any interest. If I get the chance, I'll try and add some photos.

:o i had just mentioned a project like this to a mate at work the other week and how it would be good fun. if i were near you i would have snapped your arm off! no means of transporting a car unfortunately.

Wish you all the best in finding it a new home
