What is this part is on my fiesta 1.4 tdci 06

Featured Replies

Hello all new on here. My fiesta 1.4 tdci started losing power yesterday. When I went out this morning it wouldn't start. I noticed what looked like a piece of pipe which had snapped off. Could someone let me know what it's called and where it goes to and from. Attached is a photo it extends under my alternator I think. It sits behind radiator. Also there's a electrical plug hanging down near front of sump looks like it should be connect to a bolt by the sump. Thxs for any help

You might find something in here?

2006 Fiesta 1.4 TDCI Engine Removal.pdf

Can you take any more photos from different angles?  It's difficult to see from just that one.

It looks like an air con pipe to me.  That obviously won't affect engine running though.  The plug hanging down may be for the AC compressor.  If it was broken before you bought it the previous owner may have left it unplugged.
