Hello all

I recently had a problem with my BCM board having a post on the board break off on my Galaxy

RAC told me it was due to water damage and looking at posts here, it seems there was a problem with the windscreen washer pump allowing water to travel through the loom to the BCM 

Does anyone know what years of manufacture this was a problem on please ? 

Mine is a 2014, and I am wondering if I need to get a upgraded pump ? 

As usual no sense from Ford dealership - only interested in me booking it in for them to have a look at it

    Never known a Galaxy to have this issue it's normally only the Mondeo between 2012 and 2015

    Since the Galaxy and the Mondeo share a lot of parts in common then I guess it could well affect the Galaxy. Here is a video of a Mondeo with the problem so you can see what the issue is.

    You will need a replacement pump. The wiring harness will need repaired, the affected wires cut off at both ends and two new wires run in the full way from the BCM to the new screen wash pump. The BCM will need repaired if that's possible or it will have to be replaced.
