Hi there everyone!

Retired mechanic here (old school) I have a Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi 2007. A few weeks ago my gearbox was making a terrible sound so I have since replaced this with a second hand working gear box from same model, since I’ve replaced it my engine just cranks but won’t start, I’ve checked all avenues I can think of and nothing is making sense! Is there anybody out there that may offer any ideas! Would be very grateful to you! TIA
