Dipped Beam Fault/ Broken headlight connector?

Featured Replies

So I have a 2012 Focus Se. My low beam headlight was out. Error message said dipped beam fault after I replaced the bulb. I finagled the new bulb then my entire headlight stopped working! I changed the low beam fuse. Then everything but the new low beam light came back on. I messed with it more now the whole headlight stopped working and the dipped beam fault is back. Also the headlight connector would not click back into place. Do I need a new headlight? What to do?

Sounds as if when putting in the new bulb, you may have dislodged the the whole headlamp electrical plug, though that's pretty darn hard to do! When you changed the bulb did you specifically follow a YouTube on how to do it, or did you just plunge right in and hope for the best?
