Passenger side indicator not working/ hazards work fine

Featured Replies

So I have a mk3 ford mondeo and while out driving the other day my passenger side indicator stopped working, no light comes on the dash, bulb not lighting up and no typical indicator noise, when I got home I got my partner to look on the outside of the car to see if the indicator was coming on at all, and it didn't, but when I put the hazard lights on it works perfectly fine. Does anyone happen to know what the problem may be please??

This might sound very odd, but actually I'd suspect a faulty Hazard Light switch. I believe on your model that both the left and right indicator circuits go via the hazard switch, so that when you use the hazard lights it is a change over type switch and it combines both the left and right circuits together.

On later models fitted with a Body Control Module (BCM) the indicator and hazard lights are controlled and operated by the BCM.
