Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.0 Ecoboost (2017) Auto 5dr - wet belt

Featured Replies

Hello.

On 17 Feb 2024, my Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.0 Ecoboost Auto 5dr (2017) suffered catastrophic engine failure as a result of the wet belt. The diagnosis means that it will require a new engine & vacuum pump (not sure about the booster at the moment). Having done some research online, and seeing the recent feature on BBC TV's The One Show, it seems that this issue is common place in Ecoboost engines, so much so that Ford has recalled vehicles in the USA.

Does anyone know the best course of action to take here in the UK, and if there are any solicitors currently pursuing a class action against Ford regarding this matter?

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.
