Galaxy 2015 Reverse Camera Install

Hi, I have just got a 2015 Mk4 Galaxy Titanium with Sync2 which has replaced my 2007 Ghia.

I would like to install a reversing camera in it. From what I have read it may already have a plug in the rear for the camera from the Sync unit which will save me having to take the dash apart.

Question is, where would that plug be? In Mondeos it looks like the right hand side but could also be in the headlining or in the rear hatch itself. Has anybody done this and know where it should be please?

    Even if the wiring can be found in the back of the Galaxy it will not be complete. Sections of the harness will be missing, especially the part that connects to the head unit.

    From a cost point of view you would be as well to just fit the full after market kit and then connect in to the APIM with the adapter harness.

    They can cause problems with DAB radio if you have that.
