Engine failure, transmissiin failuer Ford focus 2009 zetec

Featured Replies

Hi guys, recently out of blue my Ford Focus 2009 zetec automat 1.6 started displaying messeges like

Engine Failuer

Transmission failure

Reduced acceleration

Errors are randon, sometimes all 3 sometimes only 2, sometimes i cant start thr engine and then magically it starts.

The car sound normal and drives ok too.

So far I have checked battery that, I have topped up oil (I had a problem with the bonnet and finnaly got rid if the lock) as there was almost nothing.

Couple months back I had electric and heated seats installed so some additional wires were added but all that works fine too.

I have attached codes from the blootiith scanner I purchased.

Also when i checked oil again it looks like there is small amouts of "milk"

Any idea what the problem might be and the next steos i should take?

Just to add by checking battery I mean checking for voltage 12.8v just battery I think 12.3 when connectrdnto the car (i think small drainage from Android radio) and 14.3 when ignition on.

Classic symptoms of common fault of cracked solder joints on the instrument cluster connector. Have a read: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314393033915

Almost no oil?? That's a serious concern.

It seems you've got a leak between engine oil and coolant passages. You'll want to get this looked into urgently for the sake of your engine.
