‘14 Fiesta - Intermittent MAF Issues

Featured Replies

Hi lads!

I have had my lovely (second-hand) Fiesta MK7 (1.0 EcoBoost/100hp) for a little over a year with ~46000 miles (75000km) on the odo, but recently I have started seeing the wrench check engine light come on.

I have plugged my OBD2 reader in and I get codes P0101 and P0103.

The issues usually happen when either I drive through a bigger puddle and the car gets splashed or if a little of the washer fluid splashes out when I add more of it in (and don’t manage to immediately get the liquid in the hole). It usually goes away after a few days (maybe the liquid dries by then?)

I hope someone will be able to give me an idea of what might be happening here. Thanks in advance!

Those are both circuit codes. You may have a sticky evap purge valve. I would look at live data and check the purge valve first.

Currently the check engine light is off (and has been for the last two days of me driving the car completely normally), I guess checking it now wouldn't make sense, right?

P.S: The car has done this only twice since I have had it with me, so I am not sure if I should wait for this issue to re-surface or do something else.

Hi,

Did you get to the bottom of this ?

I've got the same issue on mine
