Fuel pressure regulator performance fault

Featured Replies

Hey, i have a 2009 ford fiesta I brought in December, been absolutely great until today and it just randomly coughed and went in limp mode but while in limp mode continued to cough so was basically un-drivable. I got home plugged it in and it came up with the faults fuel pressure regulator performance, and throttle pedal position sensor. I did a full service in January changing all the filters including fuel, and did an injector cleaner. Am wondering if this is a common issue and wether it is likely getting a new fuel pressure regulator solenoid will fix it or if its more likely the fuel pump? I recently had the same sort of issue on a ford thunder pick up truck and changed the solenoid and it seemed to fix the issue but unsure if its the same with the fiesta.
any advice helpful,

thank you in advance,

maddie
