non returning front wipers

Featured Replies

Hi all i've just become the owner of a 56 plate Fusion zetec 1.6 diesel. My window wipers wont return to the start position when i switch them off. Somewhere i have red that this may be a relay prob but i cant seem to find one on any fuse boar diagram. Can any of you guy's out there help me at all??

Many thanks

Tom

The normal cause of this problem is the failure of the 'self park' switch which is inside of the wiper motor. It's not considered a serviceable item.

Best and cheapest option will be to get a used wiper motor from a scrap yard, normally £20 or less. The wiper motor from a Mk6 Fiesta should also fit your car.
